Living in a Movie

Experiences Part 2

I was talking about experiences the other day and then last night I heard this on the radio and remembered I had mentioned the same series a few weeks back called "Jon Ronson On ...".

I found this quite a worry when listening to it, for I can understand what its like to have to live a world of treachery, lies and deceit at every corner, wondering who is your friend and friends enemies.

This particular episode goes into not just how people have lives which may seem to be only found in a movie, but the consequences of living those lives which always seem so good to us who watch them...

"I want your Fantasy"

Its a scary claim in many respects, so many people would like to be living the life of that portrayed in a movie. Many are action packed or romantic in genre, but others see a light in a most different of corners.

Have we all been sucked in to believing we are all living in the world of fiction... so many TV and film characters, especially those of the undercover police officer type (without wanting to stereotype) are portrayed as living on the edge, close to a thrill, brilliant at there job and working against the flow of the majority.

For example, if you read any of the Ian Rankin Rebus series, we learn of the music, drink and nightmares that travel through Rebus's mind as each crime is committed. As if the ghosts of the past are there to catch him, there to distil fear and upset him. A thought that is only in his mind, but still we can see the pain, and the after effects of all the things in his life's past.

Another example would be that of Proof of Life, when a man is kidnapped in a fictitious South American country called Bogotá, the family strive for his freedom. Meanwhile we see the process of what it takes to release a hostage from captivity.

With these two examples in mind, how long does it take before:
1. You start feeling your living a life portrayed in a book or film
2. You feel like the portrayed in a book or film
3. Begin the route towards schizophrenia or paranoid schizophrenia

The final thing to think about is the impacts this makes not just on your own life and well being, but that of those around you. How do you cope with such things? If you were really living the life of James Bond, would it really be as glamorous as that seen?

Look at all the photos, what do they all mean? Where do they come from? What kind of things have I been attempting to get across to you?

As this fictional story comes to a close, I will move more towards a true representative side of life. This blog will move in the way it has over the last few months, odd articles, criticism's of what is out there, but with true evidence. No more attaching a web link to the news. Although the idea is to get you to use your imagination. That was the thing about Kirill, it was there to provoke your thoughts.

So with everything to with The Invisible Force, an unfriendly creature who appears and tells you they are watching you. With a grey scaled photo of a dead tree in Porlock, with the eyes of a CD Album from Pink Floyd- Pulse and The Division Bell. Hopefully you will have come to recognise that David has been in much of a struggle. The Guards have not been easy on him, the news reports and media are not much good, and are quite biased depending on what you read and watch. Hopefully, the demons that live will be expelled and "Eyes Only" will finally come up and start to show the truth.

The virtues of what was once part of Dark Angel, are finally coming to light. Keep watching this space. A new future a new realisation of what has been going on will slowly be shown.

However, in this world capitalism and communism have no room left to play.
We will look beyond our ethical judgements scrutinise harder than aliens from Mars (War of the Worlds). This will go beyond "Question Time" and "Moral Maze".
Academics must stand tall and proud, the scientific revolution of the early 20th century has come round again. Environmentalism has gone from a small thing to a very powerful partner with political movements involved. But new ideas have slowed. It's time to readjust our thoughts and find new paths in what we have thought we have understood for the past 40 years or less. There is still much to learn. Society must work together.

1st things 2nd...

When the small things appear in the world to be much larger- what is it that goes round our minds to believe that they are bigger than they really are?

As I slowly formulate the ideas to make the first adventure come together, I shall let you know about the some small innocuous details...

Firstly, whilst I know the original drama script relatively well and almost backwards- some of its details will be changed so as to fit with the blog style, and having given it some thought, is unlikely to appear literally as a script but more of a short story in each blog. Secondly, it has to be said some of the details I will edit because they are beyond my own capacity to write the original without giving a more plausable and 'real' account, the original would be far beyond the realms of authenticity and realism. Hopefully I will make my blog seem as realistic and real life to you.

Here's part of where the idea has been developed further from:
A recent online 'reality show' by MSN called Kirill apppeared in late 2008. It was a trial online reality program, trying to move the likes of reality TV to a more realistic and interconnected world. Scarily, if it took off it could be come part of everything without anyone realising it.
Like the fictional and potentially fact based spies, where blinds are flickered, street lamp posts and signs have markings put on them by secret agents as tells, undercover cars are only known to be undercover cars by undercover operatives (and can tell by the minutest of detail changes), notes are swapped and dropped in secret locations by any manner of ways. Kirill could effectively do the self same thing.

Kirill is a man who is living in a disused nuclear bunker hiding from the government troops- all with green eyes- who act as government agents, removing anybody who knows too much about what is going on in the 'outside world'. Is Kirill just schizophrenic or has he a reason to suspect the London population are being used as lab rats?
A compelling story it is. It connects to many websites of fictitious companies who the 'government' are helping out, and blogs of the scientists and journalists who these agents try to lock up, denying their ever existence to the public. Even more realistic, the clues can be found on real websites and in real world places- it surrounds the CERN program at its undercover paranoid (stories) heart. Therefore it has many news articles from real life that the characters in Kirill can use to confuse the uninitiated.

As a first attempt it works, but with added authenticity it wouldn't be too hard to make it seem too real. TV programs, radio programs, news articles, and adverts to follow. As well as mini clips online and the blogs would add to a realism- special items hidden away for the general public to locate and feel it was actually happening in the world. All too easily reality could be merged with real life. Kirill (played by David Schofield) could be expanded further from what it is.
