Political Reflections

Are we a fractured society?
Should our constituencies be the shape they are?
Is proportional representation the right way?

How about a new idea:
Lets vote for people who want the job as PM or that cabinet position. We employ these people by voting them in. So why can't we vote for the person who wants the job as PM or Cabinet post and not be controlled by party connections. We don't after all get to choose the Cabinet just the leader of it and a bunch of MPs connected to a party political line.

Should we still be tied to party's? Have party's finally had their day?

If this doesn't seem right, try this idea instead:
Every party that is wanting to be elected to the House of Commons should have a person in every constituency providing a more equal representation of each party's chances. This would indeed remove the minority party's unless they really have some clout. The local elections can get have more freedom from this view to allow for independents.

Ironically, the Conservative Party have almost won with 302 at the national level but the local elections show they have lost to Labour, Labour who increased there councillors by 249, Conservative lost 78 Local Councils today. Do we have split personality as a nation or does local and national positions really vary that much in the party lines.Local Councils.

And if you hated the idea of proportional voting in anyway, look at the Liberal Democrat votes against the other party's: United Kingdom Equality on voting: Sex, Race, Religion, Disability are all equal but were not to vote equally apparently Voted for Numbers,Changing the Way we Vote.*

Is this a case of Animal Farm by George Orwell?
We are all equal but some are more equal than others?
Or a case of What a Carve Up by Jonathan Coe? The Winshaw Legacy. Doomed to the end.

P.s. How ironic there was a plane crash with the ex-leader of the UKIP party, so happens there is a plane crash in What a Carve Up too. For those who know the book, you'll understand my double pointed view on this.

*I understand some people's issues with BBC information and the suggested links to government control. But all media should not be trusted and this page shows the point quite well.

Report for 25/03/2010

Report 001 of EC&FA TA&AC pre and post defined duty: Extraction STOP
Necesary action required: High importance
Risk: Medium
---
These are the sum thoughts of what I can only describe tonight as. Having met a group of friends in a bar. Little did I know that they had been drinking all afternoon, however they were still warily 'sober', enough to communicate with a grasp the situation. On the whole though to the locality the people within the facinity, this was a most dangerous scene to be attending.

Just out side of the city centre, and just off of north campus, lies the gay scene. It appears more of my class mates are turning the other way, and many people I know are slowly coming out of the wood work. I have no issue with this, until your put in the middle of many an awkward scene, where sudddenly the tables are turned.

Attempting to extract your friends from a rather dubious situation of dirty under pass knowledge, weeding out the information fro munsuspected colleagues. These people were not strangers but friends of friends. Unfortunately, for them they had bitten more than they could chew.

This did in the long term scheme of things through the evening mean slightly harder to escape mechanisms, many of the ploys to keep you in were biased to wards peer pressure and staying out and drinking. Thankfully they had drunk too much to allow myself and one other to leave unharmed. A third had left earlier she however remains elusive and in separate danger with a 'stranger'. For another friend, he has been lost carted off to a curry in the north of town to be disected further. I could not find a way of getting him home, for his own fear and thoughts were too overwhelming with the alchohol still coarsing through his blood.

I can only be assured that no harm will come to anyone by thought alone. Never the less, the paranoia of the past comes back in. The need to be forcefull and tolerant at the same time, makng sure all is safe and well by modestly making the situation calmer thorugh undertones of stress relief.

These people read everything into everything. Biting of the fingers, glances at people, conversation topics. All twisted to suit their desires. None the less, when the ball when back to there court, they were off. They didn't want to talk about themselves. No too free and yet too proud to dare. Bastards they were.

The situation of finding a way to out seems almost impossible, but you have to remember that at the end of the day, all can be denied and due to the level of alchohol no one will remember except for me. Who will never repeat the thoughts and components of dreary alcholic, messed up thoughts surrounding these peoples needs.

Luck may have been with us tonight, the alchohol had put them over the limit and made them retire. I did not want to be there trying to fish two friends out of one truly disturbing mess.

Look at this Place!

An economy crumbling, an environment that politicians say they care about but they always backout at the last moment infuriating the environmentally friendly community.

They say society is hierachial, is it so hierachial no one cares anymore?
If you do care, do you find everyone around you doesn't care?
Reasons to just crawl into a small box and forget the outside world exists.
Especially when no one appears to pay attention.

It starts to make things sound like George Orwell's Animal Farm, PIGS!
"All animals are equal but some animals are more equal than others."

Here are two thoughts to go investigate:

Listen and you may be outstounded

In finding out about the George Smiley Serial that has been running on Radio 4 over the year, the level of detail and authenticity appears to be quite realistic. This could be very much because as listeners, all we are doing is listening. Our mind has to visualise the whole scene. For those who can remember that far back into the late 1950s to the 1970s, the atmosphere must be even more vivid. For those that find they were only born after this serial’s time frame, the completely different interpretation must exist.

Finding that the imagination enforces the time period on historical facts known, the only way the younger generation are going to be the closest to the realism is by either experiencing the past in some format or having very accounts of what went on. For many people to imagine the past will be based on what they have been shown and seen, much of which will be through fictional TV programs and books. Thus the realism will be very different for those who have experienced the past, those who know accurate accounts of the past and those who know very little about the past.

The George Smiley series has been very eventful, only being able to listen to the more recent ones, the urge to go back and get the earlier additions in the series is quite strong. However, how different are the radio adaptations to the books?

Many of these sorts of things are very interesting to listen to, and this solves the problem of having way too much to read, as listening can be done whilst doing something else. Now full enjoyment of listening to something must be done without interference really, and the level of detail provided within many of the book adaptations require more concentration sometimes. Hidden details are put in the background which the ear mistakes for just background and actually it is part of the keys story. For example, this is very much the case when the short collection of 'Weird Tales' were broadcast last year. Episode four, The Fly, adapted from the H.P. Lovecraft stories, was very influential in the background information used. The main characters mother forever watching the TV, which is in the background has the news on, the News reporter is telling a key fact to the story, but the News reporter is slightly obscured by what’s is actually going on in the room at the time.

Many a way of enjoying our world is almost forgotten through lack of concentration on the fact we believe we are listening to, but instead all we are doing is hearing, as the old phrase suggests: We may be hearing but we are not listening.

For those who are musicians, the ear is trained to pick up on the slightest of details, now whilst the public who are keen music listeners may notice many factors within music, musicians should in theory be picking up on a wider aspect, not just the music is getting louder or the brass section is coming back in, but the musician should be noticing what parts are putting in the different levels of effort, knowing which sections of the orchestra or band is playing the higher pitched parts or the underlying notes which give the music a little extra edge. Naming the instruments, counting the speed, timing your own part, understanding how the conductor wants the music to be portrayed, what the story is within the music, which member of the orchestra is struggling and needs a little extra hand, and which one is playing the solo but trying to keep there nerve.

Lots of things go on around us that we do not know about. By listening and not just hearing, by seeing and not just looking our experience of the world would be very different. Trying to understand so many factors is very hard, and with the amount of stress that surrounds our everyday lives so frequently, no wonder things are missed. How does the human population manage to get from one day to the next without it all falling apart you might ask... well quite frankly we don’t. As a species we might appear highly organised and have brilliant methodologies and plans, but all too frequently they are written off and new ones are made off the cuff because something on the day changes the way your plan was meant to be. Therefore, the best are those who are able to adapt to the current situation one might argue, however, as a singular person, are they really able to gauge all the information required and act upon it.

In today’s world, time appears to be moving increasingly faster, however, I would like to ask many of you the question, is it not just moving slower and more people are doing the same task to get it done quicker? The PC is said to be a very important part of life these days, nearly everyone will need to use one during the day at some point, and many use them all day. PC’s are said to be getting better, faster and more user friendly, however, ask yourself this, is your PC just feeling like it is slower, and getting slower everyday? It’s as if the world is now moving too fast for your PC to get the tasks done that you are telling it. Maybe the PC is actually causing the world to slow down as we all drive to get things done quicker, the PC is the one thing holding everything up, PC’s can only go so fast. Humans can phone ahead and as a team, the human species can get things done much faster but having multiple people on the same task than when alone.

There are however many a problem with this too, because really when it comes down to it, who would really like to be enjoying themselves somewhere else away from work? The cultural issues and work ethics in today’s society seem so upside down. Boss demand stuff and underlings just get on like robots, has society lost its identity?

Its time we all paid a little more attention to our environment, to our neighbours and to our friends and family because really we are all alone trying to just get these little tasks done and struggling to time manage. We should all be coming together and working for a greater good, but exactly what is the greater good? Everybody’s view of this will be different. All I know is if we don’t do something to at least get everybody thinking in the same direction there will be nothing for the future. What has happened to this world?

So many factors involved:

Environmental issues
Economic issues
Crimes
Food Crisis
Religious issues
Health

Are any of these more important than the others? Answer, no. If we went back to the way we were 500 years ago, maybe we wouldn’t have half of these problems. We need to make them all work together. Everyone is a barbarian at the end of the day. The human race, the destroyer of worlds.

Voices Only

Do not attempt to adjust your radio, this a streaming freedom audio. It will last exactly sixty seconds it cannot be stopped it cannot be traced it is the only free voice left in the country.

It has been disclosed in the last few days that what we all consider to be civilised life may be turned upside down. Yesterday it was announced the world would have issues with the amount of food that would need to be created to keep an ever increasing global population hunger free.

With a sixth of the planet's population Chinese and an increasing population across the middle east no wonder the government want us to worry about how the most recent war atrocities are being dealt with. Also, by the use of government media a recent program has suggested that Europe may become Islamic.

The fact remains that the global population is too large. A secret program has been set up, Swine Flu is not real it is a hoax. The Tamiflu virus tablets are cyanide pills. Large swathes of the population, young, immature, adolescent and the weak are being removed from society to make a supreme intelligent society. Education is no longer the best way forward.

The sanctions posed by the UN are sitting ready to take action, The Invisible Force is coming to your door, it will remove anybody it thinks is not of good future human prospects.

Keep your children safe, make them eat healthily and well, keep your head down. This way you can hide from the forces.

This is a Streaming Freedom Audio Broadcast, peace out.

Links zwo, drei, vier...

(Left two, three four). The german army marching chant is used in a hit heavy rock song by a German band called Rammstein. http://herzeleid.com/en/lyrics/mutter#links_234

The thick and the thin of this relates back to Rammstein through a number of ways. I dubiously relate this phrasing by:
1. You've been through the thick and thin of it- which if you read the history on the band, they have been a little.
2. A strange way of deciphering the way the religious leader, the Archbishop of Westminster, relates the issues of online social networking to the break down and moral detruction of society. In today's Thought for the Day on Radio 4, apparently community is breaking down as interpersonal skills disintegrate.

Thick community: Everybody knows everyone else. Have a high level of trust, know everybody's business and leave the back doors open for each other. Pubs and the church are found at the heart of the community, people look, think and drink alike. However, this can be constraining.
Thin community: People don't know they're neighbours, don't look, think or drink alike. However, can be socially diverse and liberating for others. (Radio4, Thought for the day, 03/08/09) http://www.bbc.co.uk/religion/programmes/thought/

Excusing the puns, does this mean that idiots attend church and therefore everbody is just another sheep, is just another one of the flock following each other into a spiral of decline or isolation?
Does the argument not stand true that isolation can occur through both the thick and thin community. Are the think communities 'thick skinned' and therefore more likely to survive? What of the thin communities?

David sat with these questions in his mind for a long time. When David Bloothine found out about this little bit of information his final attempt to believe religion was doing something right in the world was lost. Would he ever find his need for high accceptance again? Would he survive The Invisbible Force (TIF)?
David had so many questions however, nobody knew of his existance. After being locked up in a white padded cell in Saint Martins Mental Health Centre, Canterbury. He had been hidden away from society for near on ten years. The apparent laws on mental health had forgotten David was still alive. Seperated from the rest of the mentally incarcerated he was convicted because of the truth. "The Truth will set you Free" he mumured.

The reason behind him being locked up was to keep him quiet. In December 1999, he believed he had found out the truth behind the Millenium Bug. What it was really meant for and to do. Soon after going to bed one night, he was drugged, removed from his house and re-awoke in the Mental Health Centre for questioning, persistent questioning. 24hours a day.

Now, August 2009, he had survived the frequent calls of nature, the extraction of information by medical means of testing and had finally succumbed by lying and proving to everyone else except to himself that he was mad. He still believed he was completely sane. Unfortunately time alone in the white room had taken its toll on him- and his only source to the outside world other than the staff who tended to his needs was the radio. Of which, he believed was edited before he heard it. He was not helped by his own ill health, the detriment of cabin fever and the constant white meant he had started his disent to Schizophrenia. He began his repitition again: Links zwo, Links zwo, Links zwo drei vier...
